The present building of Gothic style is remarkable for its western Flamboyant facade and also for its cloister (begun 1240), the second largest Gothic cloister in France (the east gallery is 65 m long). The cloister gallery which runs along the nave was built and furnished in the fourteenth century and includes the chapter room, closed by a vast Rayonnant canopy; built by Pierre Perrat (d. 1400) who also worked on the west portal.
