Diary of Pelagja Rościszewska : autograph manuscript.

Two bound volumes consisting of diary entries made between the years of 1819 and 1856. Written for the benefit of Rościszewska's only daughter, Ludwika, the diary records many details surrounding management of the family's estate in Lipovka, Poland (later Tymanivka, Vinnyt͡sʹka oblastʹ, Ukraine) . Of note are discussion of local contemporary social, economic, and political conditions. Additionally, the diarist writes of her familiarity with the events of, and individuals involved in, the Decembrist Uprising of 1825.
