Color poster by J. C. (Joseph Christian) Leyendecker (1874-1951) of Lady Liberty as warrior wearing a garment in the patterns and colors of an American flag. She carries a shield engraved with the image from the obverse side of the great seal of the United States. At her feet, a young boy wearing a Boy Scout's uniform hands her a sword bearing the motto "Be prepared."
