Cylinder Vessel for Cacao

This vessel would have been used at important events to consume a frothy beverage made from cacao. The central glyph labels the vessel as yu-k’i-bi or "their cup" and stylized cacao beans appear alongside the glyph. A band of decorative pseudo-glyphs repeat along the top. Pseudo-glyphs resemble writing, but to our knowledge, do not communicate coherent words or phrases.
