Architecture Library, Hesburgh Libraries
Named after a supposed inhabitant, Tristan l'Hermite, a courtier of Louis XI. The doorway inscription, "Prie Dieu pur" points to the construction of the house by Pierre du Puy, the owner in 1495. The brick house has stepped gables and stone window casements, quoins and decorative carvings.
