1 album; 71 photographs accompanied by 16 pages of handwritten text in German. Album includes photographs of Bund Deutscher Mädel (German League Girls) during their hiking trip to Danzig (Gdansk, Poland) and the Baltic Sea from Friday, August 16th to Tuesday, September 3rd, 1940. The photographs are arranged in chronological order. The group went mostly by foot, train, and by steam ship on Vistula river from a camp site in a small village Kolodziejewo near the town of Pakosch (Pakosc, Poland). The album includes portraits of Hitler-Jugend (Hitler Youth) boys, images of nature, Kolodziejewo town, Danzig (Gdansk, Poland), and Malbork Castle. It mentions historical events such as the Bloody Sundy of Bydgoszcz and the Treaty of Versailles. It describes visiting other camps and small towns, as well as activities such as hiking, sport, and cooking.
