Ebenezer Brenton, Joseph Howland, "Timothy Holoway summons"
Rare Books & Special Collections, Hesburgh Libraries
A document written and signed by Ebenezer Brenton, clerk, directing the sheriff to summon Timothy Holoway (Holloway) of Dighton to appear before the Bristol County Court of General Sessions to answer a presentment against him for failing to attend public worship. The endorsement on the reverse by Joseph Howland, deputy sheriff, indicates that Holoway could not be located.
