"My material choices and techniques draw from the past yet infuse an ultramodern and futuristic aesthetic. Many of my clay works are character studies. Creating 3D versions of each animal or superhero guides me in developing the key players portrayed in my ReVOlt 1680/2180 screenplay. My work and storyline transport the viewer back more than 300 years to the 1680 Pueblo Revolt and then flash forward to 2180, introducing a cast of characters along the way. This little guy is a Sika. Sikas are half-simian and are tetrapod mammals but are also horned. They migrate together and aid the Horsemen (half-human, half-horse) when they hunt game for food. They may look completely innocent but are vicious hunters that can glide like flying squirrels while stalking their prey. Their animal calls startle and expose their next meal to come out from hiding. The signature design elements I used to decorate this piece are the sun and moon, thunderstorm clouds, and the Wildflower."
